Dixie Cream Cafe is a staple part of Windermere and is currently the only restaurant in the town. It serves breakfast and lunch daily until 2.30 but is closed on Mondays. Dixies offers a range of southern style dishes and desserts.
Allens Ice Cream
Also located along Main Street, Allen’s ice cream is a neighborhood favorite offering an amazing selection of ice creams as well as soft serve, perfect for that hot fudge Sunday.
Pizza 14
The best Pizza in town! There is only 1 pizza shop in Windermere however it is extremely good. This charming take out pizza parlor is popular amongst the town’s residents and offers 14” pizzas with 6 different toppings.
Windermere boat tours
Go take a tour around the incredible Chain of Lakes and see the huge Mansions that line Lake Butler including several celebrity homes that call Windermere home. Or book a day wakeboarding with the Florida Ski School, learn how to ski, wake surf or wakeboard.
Bird Island
The famous Bird Island is located in the middle of Lake Butler, it is a small sandbar located on the Northside of the island and has become a popular destination with boat owners and party-goers.
